Installation Steps:
- (Optional) If you are a Windows user and wish to run a Linux environment, install Windows Subsystem for Linux.
- Install OpenMC using the documented installation instructions: https://docs.openmc.org/en/stable/quickinstall.html.
- Download cross-section data from: https://openmc.org/data/. The workshop will be using ENDF/B-VIII.1.
- Export the cross-section path by one of the following methods:
- Edit the .bashrc file and add: "export OPENMC_CROSS_SECTIONS=/your/path/to/cross_sections/cross_sections.xml”
- Run the command: “export OPENMC_CROSS_SECTIONS=/your/path/to/cross_sections/cross_sections.xml”
each time you launch Linux.
- Git clone the repository linked above.
